Man's wedding guest attire, what can I wear?

I am a 21 year old asian american...and believe or not, I haven't been to a caucasians' wedding. It's especially hard to b/c it's in December. Therefore I really do not know what to wear. The wedding ceremony is at 1:45p and then a reception at 4:00p follows. What should I wear that will be suitable for both events? What kind of attire will be suitable? What colors are okay? They said that attire for the reception is semi formal..... any suggestions? Any would be great, thank you.

Dear Guest,

This is so much easier for you because you are a man. A suit is perfect for both events. Semi formal for weddings/receptions typically means a suit for men and cocktail attire for women, which can be confusing for so many women.

Your suit should be dark.

Enjoy!
