     October wedding guest attire

My husband and I will be attending a wedding in mid october. It is a 3PM mass followed by the reception. My husband will be wearing a dark suit and I planned on wearing a green halter dress. Would this dress be appropriate? I plan on wearing a shawl as well. I have attached a picture.

Thanks,

Hello there,

The dress sounds fine for the wedding, however, in most Catholic churches, bare sholders are frowned upon. Perhaps a nice shawl or shrug would make the dress more appropriate. Enjoy!
