I am a guest at a wedding in Atlanta during this month (Sept). It will take place in the gardens at 3 PM followed by a reception...tent, buffet, band, etc.
I am not sure it is appropriate to wear black although I don't want to wear floral since it's not summer. I have a printed dress that is spaghetti strapped/silk white and brown and a black dress that is cotton, sleaveless with white rooshing at the wasteline. Which is more appropriate?

Black is fine. More than likely this will be cocktail attire. So choose the dress that seems like the equivalent of the 'little black' dress.
