Pink for Evening Wedding

I am invited to attend an evening wedding (7:00pm) and I would like to wear a light pink suit. Is this Okay or should I wear a darker color. Please Help!!!!

If you feel that this is equivalent to the little black dress in formality, then it will be fine.
