     Problem with trousers

Hi,

Not being the smallest woman in the world I struggled to find an outfit I was comfortable in for a friends September wedding and a formal family reunion. I eventually purchased a rather expensive pair of pale cream tailored trousers, a sleeveless v-neck silk top of different blue to teal tones in a swirl pattern, a pashmina shawl in teal, and matching teal shoes and handbag. I have now been told by a friend that it would be highly inappropriate to wear my cream trousers to a wedding. Will my cream trousers really be such a problem, especially considering the blueness of the rest of the outfit?

Where and what time of day is the wedding?

Hi,

The wedding is in New Jersey early September on a farm. It starts at 5pm on the grounds. After the ceremony we walk for 1/4 mile along a newly built path to the reception.

Thank you for your time

This will be fine. White and shades of white are fine these days as long as the outfit doesn't appear to be something someone would wear as a bride.
