Hello. I am 23, and haven't been to a wedding since I was a child. I will be attending a September 3rd wedding in Malibu California of a family friend. The invitation states that the ceremony is at 3:00pm with a cocktail reception immediately after with dinner & dancing to follow (*adult event*). I have attached a picture of a possible dress I would like to wear but unsure if it is appropriate enough. (Please See Attached File...) Is this dress appropriate for such an occasion? Your help is much appreciated...

This event will probably be cocktail attire, which is the little black dress or its equivalent. Your dress seems fine and age appropriate as long as the dress appears to be high quality. I would imagine that because of the location most guests will be wearing clothing of high quality.
I think that this dress is fine. It is a trendy cocktail dress which is perfect for your age. You can always dress it up by adding fun accessories. For example you could wear black and silver crystal chandelier earrings with a matching bracelet and beaded bag. Plus this dress would look best with a nice pair of strappy stiletto's.
