Sequined dress for a 2pm church wedding

I am going with my boyfriend to a 2pm church wedding, reception to follow at a hotel. My boyfriend lost the invitation and has no idea how formal or non-formal it is. He is wearing a tux b/c he is in the wedding party. Attached is what I am considering wearing, plus a shawl for the church ceremony. Does this seem appropriate, or are the sequins too much?

Dear Guest,

It is best to dress as a guest and not try to match your boyfriend's formality. Plus, sequins are not worn during the day. So, try for something you would wear to the nicest restaurant for a first date.

Best wishes,
