Sister of groom--what should I wear?

My brother is having an evening wedding in June, but it will not be overly formal.

I was going to wear a floral print with a teal jacket, but now I think that color will clash with the bridesmaid's dresses, which are a powder blue (the bride says like periwinkle but not at all purple). Does that matter? Should I be wearing a solid? I am not in the wedding but may end up in a picture or two.

I think your floral dress and teal jacket is perfect. It is good that the colors aren't the same as the bridesmaids, and it won't clash. Since teal and periwinkle are two totally different colors from the blue family, they will nice together. So if you are in a few pictures you will compliment the bridesmaid dresses. The only time you have to worry about clashing is if the colors of your dress and the bridesmaid dress color is really close and slightly off. That's really it though.

The fact that the dress if a floral print will also break up the colors and look great for this special occasion. Have fun at the wedding.
