Wearing a Chinese style dress to a wedding

I am going to a wedding at the end of june and it will probably be fairly warm out. The reception is in the evening at a golf and country club. I am having a really hard time finding that perfect dress - my date is in the wedding party and will be wearing a tux. I was thinking of a dress like the one attached, but maybe in a darker color - I am not asian, and neither are the couple getting married, is it okay to wear this dress?

Dear Wedding Guest,

The expected attire is most likely cocktail attire, which is the little black dress or it equivalent. So, if you consider this equivalent to the little black dress, you are fine.

It is a bit shiny, but would probably be fine.

Best wishes,
