Wedding at 3pm and Reception at 7pm - What to wear?

Hi.
I am going to a formal wedding with my fiance who is apart of the wedding party. Since the wedding is at 3pm and the reception at 7pm - I am unclear which way to dress. I have a cocktail dress with beads on it and it's partially black- and everything I read said not to wear beads, sequiens or black to a day wedding but then there is the reception where I think it would be appropriate. I have attached a photo. Could you let me know if you think this is appropriate.

Dear Guest,

You wouldn't match the formality of your date. You should dress as one of the guests. Unfortunately though, they have committed a scheduling faux pas--the events are scheduled too far apart. So, it may be best to dress in a conservative cocktail dress. Beading is not worn during the day, but black is fine.

Best wishes,
