Wedding attire for 4:30 Vegas wedding

I am attending a close friends wedding on Monday in Vegas, she is eloping. I would have been her bridesmaid in the formal wedding that was planned. I am going as a guest now and wondered if I can wear red slacks with a nice cream/white sweater. I'm worried the red might be to much. Would it be better to wear a dress? The wedding is in a chapel at one of the big hotels. We are going to dinner after the wedding, not sure where.

Dear Guest,

Typically I suggest foregoing the red for another color because it will pull all eyes from the bride. But, in your case it should be fine. This will be in a small chapel. Plus, you are wearing a light colored top.

I think the outfit you are thinking of will be fine for this occasion.

Red is a little distracting but you will be in Las Vegas.

I would suggest asking the bride if she would mind you wearing red and if she doesn't mind then wear it and have a great time!
