Wedding guest outfit for noon wedding in Seattle in October
Help! I'm attending a church wedding in Seattle on Saturday, Oct. 13 and need help with what to wear. Seattle is more casual than where I live and the bride is more artistic/creative/non-conventional but they are getting married at a more upscale church. Can I wear slacks and a nice sweater (cashmere or silk sweater set) or should I get more dressed up? Also, any suggestions on what my husband should wear - slacks, shirt and tie; slacks and jacket; suit?

Dear Wedding in Seattle,
You will be fine in your outfit. Perhaps your husband could wear slacks and a sport coat or blazer.
