     What color can I wear

My nephew is getting married in December. It is an afternoon wedding at 3:30. I was planning on wearing a red suite but I found out the bridesmaids will be wearing red. Can I still wear my suit or should I wear something else?

Dear Mrs. Bet99,

You can wear your red suit unless you feel you will outshine the wedding party.

Actually... sorry, but unless an attendant, all of us should avoid wearing red. Red is really the only taboo color these days. It is a powerful color that attracts the eyes. So, as you say it could detract from the bride.

This is why so many Congresswomen wear red. Powerful color.

Dear Mrs. Bet:

You should wear something else since you are not in the wedding party.

Cheers!
