What to wear to a church wedding

Hi there

My husband I are invited to a friend's church wedding abroad in late July: starts at 3pm and afterwards reception at hotel. No dress code was mentioned.

We are both in mid 30's (I'm Oriental): we are thinking to wear something navy. i.e. A simple long chiffon dress (navy) with shrug for me and grey suits + navy waistcoat for my hubby.

What type and colour of tie would be nice for him?

What type and colour of bag and shoes should I choose?

Is Navy appropriate for this occasion?

I like feminine style and I wished to wear a simple floral dress. But it is very difficult to find suitable design for me. Crazy

Please advice...

Dear Wedding Guest,

You idea of clothing is fine. The tie is his choice. He can wear whatever he would if he were going for an interview. Your bag and shoes just need to coordinate with your dress.

Wear what you feel comfortable in. Don't worry if you can't find the floral. The navy will be fine. It always looks good.

Best wishes,
