What to wear to a courthouse wedding.

My father is getting married this Thursday at our local courthouse, and I have no idea what to wear!

I know all about typical etiquette for weddings, but this isn't a typical wedding.

Do I wear a dress, or is that too much? The bride is wearing a simple strapless dress, very summery. I don't want to be dressier than her!

You could wear what you would wear to a nice restuarant or, if you work in an office setting, you could wear what you would wear to work. A light weight suit or dress slacks and blouse woukld be appropriate.
