I am planning on wearing the attached dress to my friend's wedding. It will be a big do as they are loaded and I want to look my best. The dress is white with blue detail. I'm planning on wearing a blue pashmina over it for the service. I also have a nice pearl choker. Will it be ok, or not?

Dear Wearing White,
While wearing white to a wedding is no longer a faux pas, wearing a dress that could be a wedding dress is. This is too close to a style that a bride could wear. Plus, it is too formal for daytime. A nice cocktail dress would fit the day into night event.
