Hi. I am going to my friend's wedding in July. She is having it outdoors on her family's farm at 4pm, with the reception at the same place. The invitation did not indicate the type of dress. The couple is very outdoorsy and casual, so I am thinking that it might be a somewhat casual wedding. What would be appropriate for this occasion for me to wear to be safe? also regarding my boyfriend's attire - Should he wear a suit, a shirt and tie or would just a dress shirt suffice?
Thanks,
Dianne

Dear Dressing for the Farm,
Probably dressy casual will be fine. So, if you dress as you would for a restaurant, you should be appropriate. The tie and jacket would be optional.
