Can you offer us a bit more information like time of day, where the wedding will take place, what the invitation style is? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

The service is at 10 a.m. at a Catholic Church. There is a champagne brunch following and the invitation style is not casual but not overly-fancy. I have never attended a morning ceremony, so I am concerned with proper attire. If this were an evening service, I would not have this dilema. Thanks for any insight.

I'm guessing, because most of this is guessing.
Even though Catholic weddings tend to be more formal, this wedding is early and the reception is simple. So, I believe the attire would be 'Dressy Casual,' which is basically the clothes you would feel comfortable wearing to a nice restaurant.
