hi there, wondering what is appropriate women's attire for a black tie 430pm wedding, 7pm reception dinner and dancing at the landmark hotel in london in early november? definitely dont want to make a faux pas here....

Dear London Wedding,
This will be formal, so most likely a long gown would be fine. Short would be fine too as long as the dress/gown is very good quality. I'd stay away from sequins or anything shiny. Plus, a wrap or matching jacket would be best for the wedding--no bare shoulders.
Hats are still popular there. So, a smallish hat may be good to wear also.
