     beach wedding at 6 pm

I am invited to a 6pm beach wedding in June in South Carolina. I'm planning on wearing a strapless sundress (pink, yellow). Is that too "daytime"? What shoes to wear with it? The men are pretty much all wearing khakis and a Tommy Bahama-like shirt. Should they wear sandals?

I don't think your dress sounds too "daytime" considering what the men will be wearing. So, I am sure your dress will be perfect. Usually beach weddings are more dressy-casual. I am not sure if you will be walking on sand or outdoors on grass, but if you are then you have to wear a shoe with an appropriate heel. You should wear a heel that is thicker and not too high. You don't want to wear a stiletto because it will sink into the ground and it will be hard for you to walk around. Since the wedding is at a beach keep the shoes strappy. The men can wear dressy sandals. If they want to wear close-toe shoes, then a pair of summer mules would be best.

Have fun at the wedding!
