If a 6 pm wedding has not been designated as Black Tie, is it acceptable to wear a tuxedo? Church wedding and yacht club reception.

Dear Wants a Tux,
Typically this would be worn for a formal wedding. However, I don't believe anyone will fault you for wanting to dress up a bit. In fact, you may find many wearing a tux because it does seem appropriate for the event.
