We are having an outdoor luau wedding ceremony / reception in July. I want the guests to know that its dressy casual, hawaiian attire and flipflops optional. The groomsmen are wearing button down, khakis, and flip-flops. That's what I want the guests to wear. How should I word this on the invitation, if at all?

Attire is never mentioned on the wedding invitation unless the ceremony and reception invitations are combined. Then, a notation is placed on the lower right corner of the reception invitation. However, the term "dressy casual" isn't a real term so I would simply insert a note (handwritten or typed) stating the term, with explanation of this dress expectation.
