ok, so a follow up...I have a bright blue dress with white polka dots (below the knee length) and 1 1/2" straps. I have a white short jacket (open weave) to wear with it. What color shoes would you suggest since it is still technically summer but past Labor Day? Sorry to be a pest, but I'm not sure what to do.UnsureThanks.

Since your outfit would coordinate best with white shoes, unless you have blue to match, go for it.

Since the wedding is on the beach and the weather has continued to be so nice you can wear white shoes after Labor Day. White is turning into a unversial color to wear any time as long as it is appropriate to the season. For example...in the winter you can a nice winter white sweater and white wool pants.

If you don't feel comfortable wearing white shoes after Labor Day, eventhough it is fine, my suggestion would be to wear a nude color shoe. This way it is neutral and blends into your outfit.

Have fun,
