I have a dark purple dress for an evening wedding. I am wondering what color shoes I can wear with it. I am not sure if black shoes would match or clash.
Is dark purple an acceptable dress color for an evening summer wedding?

Purple is a huge color this season, so yes it is acceptable to wear it to a summer wedding. If the color is very dark, then it is important that the material of the dress be light and flowy for a summer wedding. If the material is heavy and the purple is very dark, then you might want to look for a simple cocktail dress in a light material.
As for the shoes, you can wear strappy black shoes. Also, metallic shoes are all over the place...so a cute pair of strappy metallic purple shoes would look great!
