     wedding guest attire, wearing gloves

Unimpressed I am wearing what "appears" to be a navy beaded evening gown (it's a blue dress with a black, beaded lace overlay) to a 7:30 p.m., black tie, wedding in Atlanta, Ga on 6/11/05. "Should I wear gloves?" If so, 1) what length(s); and 2) what color? Your help will be greatly appreciated! Mona

Your dress sounds very pretty and formal enough that you don't have to add the gloves. If you decide to wear gloves, my suggestion is to go with gloves that are elbow length. As for the color I would match the gloves to your other accessories, like you shoes and handbag.

Have fun,

Dear Gloves,

Plus, if your gown is sleeveless, in many places it is considered a must to wear long gloves.
