I have been invited to my friends wedding in September. It is in the evening but does not request type of attire. I have a few options but am not sure if they are inappropiate. One is a pink tube a-line dress with embroidery embellishments, the other a black and white seersucker aline dress, (both are sleeveless and mid length) and the other is a mid length black skirt with a dark blue halter top with rhinestone embellishments. I am a big person and my choices are limited but are these too casual. My friend is a casual type of person and the invitations were homemade so I am very unsure on what to wear.

It sounds to me by the formality of your friends invitations that the wedding will not be formal. You could really wear any of the three outfits. Each one of them has something special which makes them dressy to wear to a wedding. Honestly you have to pick whichever outfit you feel most beautiful in because when you feel beautiful in a dress it shows on your face and how you carry your self. If I had to choose one...to me the pink dress sounds really pretty and the embroidery embellishments add the perfect touch. I would suggest going with that dress only because the color is nice and festive for such a wonderful occasion.
