I am attending a wedding in the end of September this year. My longterm boyfriend is the groom's brother, and is a best man (along with their 3rd brother). The wedding is in the afternoon, with a break before the evening reception. Normally I would wear a more casual dress to the ceremony, with a more formal dress to the reception. However, I have been asked to give a reading during the Catholic ceremony. Should my attire be more formal for the ceremony? What colors (except purple- I dont want to match the bridesmaid's colors) do you suggest?
Thank you for your help!!

Dear Alaina:
Your dress should be more formal since you are going to take part in the ceremony. As to what color you should wear, that depends on what looks good on you. You are not a BM so you don't have to match them. Also, speak with the Bride-to-be to determine whether she cares what you wear or not. Rhonda Allen, Bridal Consultant New Beginnings Weddings
