I understand that a white dress is a faux pas for a guest to wear to a wedding but I have a white dress, knee-length, that has a green sash and green straps and I was hoping to wear green shoes and a green necklace; is that ok? If I could find a green cardigan that matched the necklace and shoes, I would wear that too, but iIm having a hard time finding one. I'm just wondering what you think? Sarah

Dear Sarah,
White is no longer a faux pas. Yea. We just wouldn't want to wear anything that would distract from the bride. Your dress is far from one that would. Wear it without worry.

Wearing white to a wedding may not totally be a faux pas, however some people may disagree. It is a questionable move, just because you do not want to look like your competing with the bride. Use your discretion, but keep in mind; Would you want someone to wear white to your wedding? I know you already have this dress, but a simple black dress or a dress of a different color may be a safer bet. Lori of ModelBride.com http://www.modelbride.com
