     yellow evening dress

My husband is a groomsman in a tux to a 5:30pm wedding in June, with reception at a Victorian Mansion. Is my floor length, yellow, sleeveless empire waist dress appropriate? (With a matching sheer, long scarf). Invitations doesn't indicate any dresscode.

Dear Lovely Dress,

Typically, if the dress is formal it is stated on the invitation. However, with your husband in a tux and the beautiful setting I think your dress will be perfect.

Best wishes,

Your dress sounds perfect. Since the wedding is in the evening a floor length dress is appropriate. Plus, I love it when guests wear colors to happy occasions, especially weddings. You will look classy and festive at the same time, which is a great combination.

Have fun,
