5:30 wedding, tuxedos appropriate?

I have read in etiquette books that tuxedos are only appropriate after 6p.m. My wedding is at 5:30 and I want the groom and his party to wear tuxedos because I think morning attire would look silly at my evening reception. Am I breaking the "rules?" HELP!!! Thanks a bunch. Crazy
