     Formal Dress and Formal Tux

I am getting married at 7:00 next April in Atlanta. My bride has chosen a formal dress and feels that I must wear a formal tuxedo (tails). I feel that this style of tuxedo does not look good on me and would prefer a normal 2 button tuxedo. Is it a fashion faux pas to do this or would I be OK? Is it necessary to change the time of the wedding to an afternoon wedding and/or for her to choose another dress?

Dear Groom,

The two-button would be fine for this time of day. The formality of your tuxedo depends also on the formality of your location. Plus, her dress may not be as formal as she thinks.

A tux isn't worn during the day.

Best wishes,
