More Informal then a Tux for Groom's Attire

My fiance thinks the idea of a tux for a wedding is stuffy and it's not particularly his style. He's even gone as far as to say he wants to wear a plaid suit. Any ideas for something less stuffy and more funky for groom/groomsmen attire without looking crazy?

For "less stuffy" options, look at the weddign section of J.Crew catalog. You can also find it on-line. I think the styles they offer would satisfy your fiancee! Enjoy the wedding!
