No Tie for the groom and his groomsmen

I am getting married on 10/8/05 and would like to see pictures/samples of a groom and his groomsmen without ties. Also, is this acceptable? Crazy

First, you should decide on the formality of the wedding. Most styles of shirts are acceptable for every ocassion but for example, the band-collared shirt would not be appropriate without a tie. The once popular nehru jacket is worn without a tie but remember...you will be taking pictures and enjoying them for years to come (your children and their children too). Just looking at my 70's prom picutre in which my date wore a light brown tux with dark brown piping and a beige ruffled shirt makes me cringe. We all thought we were being "hip" and "cool...now...well... If you want to avoid that scenario opt for the traditional tuxedo shirt and tie.

Dear Doris,

Everything is appropriate for your wedding. There are no longer any stringent rules you must follow for code of dress for the groom and groomsmen. Unfortunately there are no pictures available of men with no ties. You may visit my website to browse the pics there. Your wedding album is the issue here. Do you want pictures of men without ties for the most formal day of your life? Sure why not. Or maybe not. No ties is less formal then ties or neckties. So its your choice. There is no right way or wrong way. Your choice is the right way.

Regards,
