I am getting married on Sunday, October 1 in Northern California at 4pm. The weather should still be nice. What is the proper attire for a wedding at this time? It's a relatively small wedding with approximately 75 guests.

Thanks.

Dear Groom Attire,

The groom's attire should match the bride's attire in formality. Choose based on the formality of the event, location, and time of day. Four pm is a bit early for a tuxedo if this is formal. However, if your reception continues in to the evening, you could wear one.

If your wedding is more informal, a suit is just fine.

Best wishes,
