Need help in settling disagreement over the color of groomsmen vest and tie. The bride is wearing a white dress which has some gold trim on it. The groom will be in black tux with white shirt, vest, and tie. The bridesmaids will be wearing a plum color dress and gold jewelry. What color would be recommended for the groomsmen's vest and tie? They will be wearing a black tux. Your help is desperately needed to settle this issue.

Dear Settling,
Often the groomsmen will wear vests and ties to compliment the bridesmaids' attire. This is very nice. Many times the groomsmen will wear neutrals--black, white, silver, or gold. This is also nice. So, it is entirely the groom's choice.
