     groomsmen's attire

What is the proper attire for groom and male attendants for a formal noon wedding? The bride will be wearing a long satin 50's heirloom dress and the bridesmaid's long coral silk dresses. Can it be a tux? How would you handle suits? Should they be alike or identical? Or is a morning coat the only proper option?

Dear Groomsmen's attire,

Traditionally, the tux would not be worn for a daytime wedding and is considered semi-formal attire for the evening. If you want to adhere strickly to etiquette, the morning coat, or cutaway is the formal suit of choice. If you would like to go a bit less formal, which could work, choose a suit-style sack coat. All of the suits should be the same.

Congratulations.

For a groom, the follow is appropriate:

Daytime - formal - Cutaway coat or gay stroller waistcoat & stripped pant tuxedo

Daytime - semi - formal - suit or dinner jacket

Daytime - informal - suit

Daytime - beach - khaki pant/short and pressed shirt All the best,
