     Different Tux for the Groom

I was wondering if it was OK for the groom to wear a slightly different tux than the others in the wedding party. The difference is that my Tux will have a very faint stripe in the pattern and the others will be all black. I also was wondering about the vest color. We have chosen periwinkle for the main color, but I am worried that a periwinkle vest might not match it exactly. Do you think a silver or platinum would be a better choice?

Dear Tylerwku,

It is okay for the groom to wear a slightly different fabric from the groomsmen but should match the cut and lapel exactly. If you are uncomfortable with the periwinkle for the vest, use the silver vest and periwinkle pocket squares if you want to bring the periwinkle in to the attire.

I agree completely. Plus, please remember that a tux is evening formal attire.
