I have searched and not been able to find an answer to fit this scenario. I will be getting married in a couple of months in Cancun, mostly attended by immediate family. I will be wearing a white linen suit there, but, my fiancee wants me to wear a tux back here in the states for the reception, which I have agreed to do. Aside from me and best man, should the father's of the bride and groom also wear a tux or is a suit acceptable?

Re: [RytM1] Fathers wear tux or suit at reception

First we should note that tuxedos are formal evening attire, so, hopefully your reception is a formal evening event. That being said, as we have mentioned in many previous posts, fathers dress in the same attire as the rest of the bridal party.
