You know, I have read a million articles on what brides should wear at a destination wedding but theres very little out there that says what in heck we are suppose to do with the groom! We are getting hitched on 5/13/06 and I haven't a clue as to what to put my H2B in. I think a tux in too formal so we were thinking about a suit. Any suggestions for a style or color of suit that will complement the ivory dress I'll be wearing (see attached)? P.S. My honeybunny hates to shop so please provide pictures if you can...for him it will be worth more that a thousand words.

It would be helpful if we knew where, and when, this wedding will take place. The destination location and weather will make a difference. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Oops,
I'm so sorry. The wedding will be at 3:30PM at Sandals Resort in Nassau. As for the setting the resort features 4 alternatives (1-pier, 2-beach, 1-garden) and we hadn't decided on which one yet. I'm kinda leaning toward the garden setting but we will doing some photos in the beach. Thanks for the quick response.

You definitely can get away with a suit because of the location and time of day. (tuxes are for the evening) However, because your dress is fairly semi-formal, your groom's suit should be very good quality.
Perhaps a cream colored linen suit would work. The biggest problem with linen is wrinkling, so he should keep his on a hanger until the ceremony.
If he were to go to the best clothier in your area, they should be able to find him one. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
