     Groomsmaid Attire

I'm planning a formal wedding in April 2006 and one of our Groomsmen is actually a Groomsmaid. The men are wearing black tuxedos with black vests and a black tie (no bow-ties). I don't want the Groomsmaid dressed exactly like one of the guys but I'd like to put her in something feminine that resembles a suit. I've seen a few women’s tuxedo suits but they look like waiter's uniforms (yuk!). My Bridesmaids are wearing floor-length, black, strapless gowns. She's not a Bridesmaid so I don't want her to wear the same dress as the rest of the girls. HELP! What should she wear?

Dear Groomsmaid attire,

I would certainly consider a nice black suit for her or a black dress with a different dress maybe something in black and white.

Typically, the lady would wear the same dress as the bridesmaids, but in the same color as the men. So, Ms. Tucker's ideas are perfect.
