What are the options that are available for a morning (11 AM) wedding in a Catholic church and an afternoon reception. Bridesmaids will be wearing either short or tea length dresses. My daughter wants the men to wear black tux, but I think that is too formal. What options do we have?

Dear Kathy,
The tux is formal evening wear and even the daytime version would be too formal, as the ladies are dressed informally. So, it would be best for the men to be in suits.

I have also heard of men's attire called a "Stoller" which is a grey or black jacket and pinstripe pants. This is supposedly less formal than a cutaway because there are no tails on the jacket. Would this stroller be appropriate for the wedding I described?

If the wedding is formal, then strollers would be fine. So, scrutinize the bridesmaids' and bride's dresses to determine what formality they are. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
