I am in a heated debate with my mom on what the fathers should wear. My fiance and the groomsmen are wearing chocolate brown suits with pink ties. My mom said that the father's are supposed to match the groomsmen. I understand that if they were all wearing tuxes that would be one thing, but to totally match is just plain weird, especially if they're wearing suits. I think they should just coordinate, not match. If so, how far should it go. Should they order the same suits and just wear different shirts and ties?
Does anyone know the right answer?
P.S. My fiance and his dad are against matching, but I also don't want to tell my mom that.

Re: [SFMiche] Groomsmen wearing suit, what do dad's wear?

Dear SFMiche,
Your mother is correct that all of the men dress the same. When they wear suits, the suits could just match in color, formality, and style.
Dark brown and pink? I'm not sure about the men wearing these colors. But, I'm not the style expert here.
