I am still unsure if my wedding dress with be a "pure white" color or something like ivory or creamy. My question is, if my fiance decides on a white tuxedo, how do we match my dress to his tuxedo? Will it look bad if they are not exact matches?

Re: [superspaceystar] Matching the "whites" of dress and tuxedo

Dear Superspaceystar,
If you have 2 whites together and one is a different shade it will have a tendancy to make the darker one look dirty or dingy...that's why I always recommend black limos, a white one always makes the dress look bad.
To insure the match, get a swatch from your dress or a fabric swatch of the same material and take it with you when looking at white tuxes. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com

I have to agree with the other response.
Whites are very hard to match and I always recommend black.
Take a swatch to the tuxedo shop and see if you can match up the colors.
