     Matron of Honors Spouse Attire

My sister is getting married at the end of July. I am Matron of Honor, there is one bridesmaid, a Best Man and one additional groomsman. It is an evening wedding, summer formal (the bridal party is in strapless, sleevless, full length gowns, with opened toed strappy sandals, etc.) and the men will be in full traditional tuxes. My sister and I are trying to figure what my husband's attire should be. He is not in the wedding party itself, but is escorting me as the Matron of Honor. Should he be dressed in a tux to match my attire and his role escorting me? The grooms party and the FOB and FOG will be in tuxes. Thanks.

If he is not in the bridal party then he will dress as a guest. Assuming this is not a black tie affair, that would probably be a suit with coordinating shirt and tie so he'll blend in with the photographs.

I completely agree. The suit is best.
