Men's Informal wedding attire for a beach wedding

We were looking at linen or white shirts, and khaki pants for the groomsmen as our wedding will be held at a resort on the beach - should the groom match the groomsmen or should he choose a shirt that has some variations? Also, should the father of the bride wear the same outfit as the groomsmen?

Dear Beach Wedding,

The groom wears the same attire as the groomsmen. If the father is participating in the ceremony, will be in the receiving line or will be in the pictures, he should dress as the groomsmen. If he isn't, but wants to dress the same he may.

Also, a word of warning: you are responsible for the lodging cost of your attendants for destination weddings. So, you may want to limit the amount of attendants you have.

Best wishes,
