Military uniform worn to a wedding

My brother is in the army and we want him to wear his uniform while stading as a groomen. Is it ok to wear the uniform or should he rent a tux too? What is the proper etiquette for military uniforms worn by members of the wedding party?

Dear Wants the Uniform,

The etiquette for wearing uniforms really more applies to military weddings, where uniforms are optional in most cases.

It would probably be better if he wore the same attire as the rest of the groomsmen because they should be dressed the same. However, as far I am concerned, there is nothing wrong with him wearing the uniform.

Best wishes,
