     Necessity of Cummerbun

Is a cummerbun a required accessory for a tuxedo?

My fiancee and I are trying to keep the attire somewhat formal even though the wedding will take place in the Caribbean in the Spring. We've narrowed the selection of the my attire to a white dinner jacket, but we want to do as much to keep with formal feel and accomodate the climate. Several stores have suggested going without cummerbuns or vests. Is this in poor taste?

Dear DOBrien,

The other stores are correct, if you check our website out we do sell many tropical carribean themed cummerbunds and tropical wedding vests.

Dear David:

Thank you for your suggestions on the troical attire.

Pardon me, but I did not understand you ropinion regarding the necessity of wearing any cummerbun.

Is it permisible to forego the cummerbun and vest entirely?

Thank you for your assistance.

It would not be appropriate to wear a tuxedo without accessories.
