Not a groomsman but wear a tux

I have three brothers. The youngest brother is getting married. He lives in Raleigh. I live in Atlanta. He has four groomsmen who are our father (best man) and three of his friends. The third brother and I will not be standing at the dais (four bridesmaids / four groomsmen). I just got an email from my brother, the groom, that he wants the third brother and me to go to Raleigh, get fitted for tuxes, pay the rental, and sit in the audience. I think this is unreasonable and have several nice suits I can wear. The other brother is inclined to do it ("his day, his wishes") but I am not. There have also been some hints that we may be asked to usher at the wedding (but still not stand among the party during the ceremony). I am against it and feel that I am a guest. What do you think?
