Outdoor Wedding--Gray suit?

I am having a backyard outdoor wedding in May 2005. I live in Alabama where the humdity is high and by May it is already hot. My fiance does not want to wear a tuxedo for this reason in the wedding and I see his point. However, our wedding will not be until 6:00 in the evening because of the heat and I am not sure that the gray suit we decided on would be appropriate. Any suggestions?

Hi, I think the grey suit would be fine. A little discomfort for the groom is not all bad. He should look his best for this special day. I would also consider fans to move the air for your guests. Good Luck.

Dear Outdoors,

The grey suit should be fine. An outdoor wedding can be less formal, so a tux really is not necessary.
