     Seersucker for the Groom

My fiance has his heart set on a seersucker suit for our wedding. We are planning an informal church wedding and outdoor reception. Are there any seasons or times of days or ways we can make this work without looking tacky?

Dear Bride,

Typically the seersucker suit is summer attire. It would be appropriate in warmer climates year round. But, in the US, it is a summer suit.

These are usually worn during the day and many consider these 'outdoor' attire. But, these are also viewed as nice, informal wedding attire. So, because your wedding is in a church and reception outdoors, this will work if the wedding is during the daytime in summer.

Best wishes,
